after pizza at delfina and picking up snacks for later at tartine bakery, our last stop in the mission was bi-rite creamery. after a bit of confusion with the soft serve stand attached to the building, we walked in and like both stops earlier were not faced with a line or wait. as we stepped up to the display case the jovial man behind the counter asked if we had ever been to bi-rite creamery before. after stating that we hadn't, he proceeded to give us samples of what he considered to be the most notable flavors. we started with salted caramel, then brown sugar, and finally honey lavender. all three were quite good with the salted caramel being the standout for me as i really enjoyed the almost burned flavor. ultimately, i went for a small cup mixing chocolate with salted caramel while carrie decided on honey lavender mixed with coconut. although certainly delicious, i really can't see myself standing in a line for longer than maybe 10-15 minutes.
