niche (6) - clayton, mo

7734 forsyth boulevard
clayton, mo 63105

- this was by far my favorite meal at niche, with both food and service exceeding any of my previous visits
- our primary server (jen) was terrific, being both friendly and knowledgeable while showing a deep passion for the restaurant
- the beverage pairing was well worth it, and i liked how it deviated from the norm a bit with a madeira being poured with the first course
- eating the niche egg never gets old...it is effing brilliant
- dia's cheese bread with the whipped lardo is fantastic
- the pork shoulder course was the most successful use of ice cream in a savory dish i have yet encountered
- i enjoyed the desserts almost as much as the savories...a rarity for me
