aside from being left to stand at an abandoned hostess stand for longer than acceptable and the restaurant being out of four items i wanted to order, our meal at element was fairly successful. the dishes we ordered ranged from decent to excellent, with the star of the show being the duck breast entrée served with scrapple, brussels sprouts, and apple butter. will i be back to element? probably someday, but there was nothing about the experience that would compel me to rush back in lieu of revisiting a place like farmhaus, the libertine, or cleveland heath where i have had better meals at a similar price point.
